The International Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy (IFIB) 2024 will take place on October 3-4, 2024, in Bologna, Italy, at the Fondazione Golinelli. This annual event, organized by the Italian Circular Bioeconomy Cluster SPRING, a partner of the RIBES project, in collaboration with Innovhub-SSI and other partners, focuses on the circular bioeconomy, with an emphasis on industrial biotechnology as a key enabler.
IFIB gathers bioeconomy stakeholders from around the world, including representatives from industry, academia, policy-making, and research. The 2024 edition will highlight topics such as bio-based industries, agro-food innovations, marine and white biotechnology, and the role of regions in bioeconomy development. With around 250 delegates expected, the event also includes B2B meetings to foster partnerships and collaboration opportunities.
